This lesson includes the dry and wet processes which are often used in Garment to create and aged look.
Machines / Equipments used
There are different machines and equipments and technologies are used in the garment processing. They can be divided mainly into garment dry processing and garment wet processing.
In Garment dry processing, most of the tasks are performed by manual work and the garments need to be fixed on some mannequin where they can be mounted in a suitable position to perform the desired task. In most of these working stations, pressured air is inflated into tubes after the garments have been put on. The air is inflated usually with the help of foot pedal, as both hands of worker are engaged with the handling of the garment on the working station. After inflation, the garment is crease-free and firm, which is a pre requisite for manual abrasion.

It can have from 1 to 6 mannequins, depending on the type and size, one or more centrifugal fans, a differential pressure switch for signaling filter clogging, a lighting system, and an electrical panel. It is available with a dry extraction cabin, with filter panels that are easily removed for cleaning and replacement, or with a water curtain.

The garment wet processing is performed in washing machines of industrial scale. The washing comes in the different volume which decides how many garments can be processed in a washing batch. the inside rotating barrel is designed in a way that it facilitates the garment loading/offloading from machine.
