Keeping in view the production 'pull' nature of the spreading department,  the operators are under time pressure to meet the needs of cutting machines and following the sewing production lines. The automatic selection of fabric rolls and and its availability for disposal for spreading machine help to avoid costly mistake and physical fatigues to operator.

The Tranroll system from Bullmer help to identify the fabric roll for, its automatic retrieval from hangers, loading/unloading from the spreading machine. Each fabric roll has digital information from the folding department and the rolls are mounted on stands with the digitally identifiable locations. A loading system mounted on rail can move back and forth between the stands to select the specific fabric roll required for spreading and unload back to stand.
