What is CAD in the fashion industry?​

Computer Aided Design (CAD) is the use of computer technology for the process of design development / collection development:​ fashion sketches, flat drawing, 2D pattern making development, ​3D visualization of the fit accuracy, marker planning​.

Overview of the Create Menu

Use functions in this menu to create geometrical objects: points, notches, lines, pieces, text, bookmarks, images.

Overview of the Edit Menu

Use functions in this menu to assist you while you are making edits to pieces. You can select pieces and then lines or points to edit. You can also delete pieces from the active work area.

Overview of the Modify Menu

Use functions in this menu to modify geometrical objects: move, rotate, replace, split, merge, mirror, flip.

Use functions in this menu to shrink/stretch pieces, to work with seams, darts, gathered elements (fullness, pleats).
